Company History
Market Finders, Inc., a full service Managing General Agency, was purchased in 1977 by its present owner, George Shaffer and has since then provided consistently strong and stable
Excess and Surplus Lines Markets to the agents of New Mexico. Recently, contracts have been expanded to include the State of Arizona.
George Shaffer, sole owner of the agency, has served in numerous leadership positions among various insurance trade organizations, including President of the Independent Agents and
Brokers of America and Regional Vice President of the American Association of Managing General Agents. George's son, Steve, currently serves as President of the firm and is responsible
for day to day operations.
The agency's underwriting team of some eight professionals collectively have more than 230 years of total insurance industry experience.
Market Finders Inc., maintains professional memberships in American Association of Managing General Agents (AAMGA) and the National Association of Professional Surplus Lines
